Few of you know that my very first 30” cymbal was actually the Vein Gold 30”. At that time it wasn’t heat-gilded yet, but it was already in its final stage.
My goal was to create a ride that would sound huge and expansive, while still offering a lot of wash that remains controllable. Many of you comment that it’s washy — and yes, that’s exactly the idea. The wash is there, but it can be controlled, unlike with a bronze cymbal which, once it builds up momentum, tends to keep going and doesn’t stop so easily. 🥁✨
